CALM PRESENCE. STRONG ADVOCATE.
Lauren grew up in New York’s Capital Region, where high school mock trial sparked her interest in debate.
“I loved the balance of advocacy and teamwork,” she says. “You’re speaking for your side, but you’re never doing it alone.”
At Albany, her first-year lawyering course, which focused on research, writing, and oral advocacy, laid the foundation for her practice. She later served as a teaching assistant for the class, guiding new students through those same core skills.
Before joining us, Lauren built a litigation background spanning criminal and workers’ compensation law. As an attorney at the New York Prosecutors Training Institute for thirteen years, she handled post-conviction litigation, developed training materials and coordinated many Continuing Legal Education courses for prosecutors.
Practicing workers’ comp as a claimant’s attorney gave her extensive experience handling depositions, hearings, and appeals. That background now informs her work on the carrier side, offering a clear view of how cases are built and argued — and where resolution takes shape.
Lauren was drawn to this area of practice by the nuanced issues it presents. Today, she finds the negotiation process especially rewarding.
“I enjoy coming to a mutually agreeable resolution,” she says. “A successful outcome is one where both parties are fairly represented.”
With her clients, Lauren prioritizes clear, prompt communication and thoughtful preparation. She believes good outcomes happen when both sides are ready to advocate effectively and address issues head-on.
Describing herself as a loyal and passionate “introverted extrovert,” Lauren brings a calm, cordial presence to her work. She feels most energized when negotiating a stipulation or settlement that brings the case to a favorable conclusion.
Outside the office, Lauren unwinds by baking (cookies are her specialty), reading fiction ranging from psychological thrillers to lighter beach reads, exploring new restaurants, and seeing live music in small, intimate venues.
At her core, Lauren is the kind of advocate people trust to handle a case the right way — fully prepared and focused on reaching an outcome everyone can stand behind.
